In this unit, middle school students observe and research Kingdom Protista by developing and testing hypotheses based on their observations, prior knowledge, and web research. These activities are designed to for use in seven to ten 40-minute periods.

These activities were piloted in 2004 with a 7th grade Life Science class at St. Patrick’s School in Seneca Falls, NY.
