Research
Interest: Environmental Sociology
My
interests mainly lie in environmental sociology and environmental
policy issues. Regarding research, in the past I've created
an independent research project comparing the disparities
between a person's environmental attitudes and behaviors.
Currently, I'm working on a project with a Cornell professor
that studies how environmental attitudes and behaviors develop
over childhood, from kindergarten to high school. I prefer
research that is not focused on hard science, although I
don't mind the hard sciences. I'm just more interested in
social environmental issues, such as why people interact
with their environment destructively, and how to prevent
environmental degradation.
