2001- 2002 CEIRP Fellow

Research Interests: Wetland Ecology & Biogeochemistry

Department: Natural Resources

Broadly speaking, I am interested in the interactions of the biological and chemical environment. My research experiences have touched upon several different environmental issues:

  1. Wetland science, including plant and soil ecology and influences of wetlands on environmental chemistry.
  2. Climate change issues, including effects on plant communities and greenhouse gas chemistry.
  3. The impact of invasive species on nutrient cycles and water quality.
  4. Acid rain related issues, including the effects on soils and fish.

These different experiences have forced me to become fairly adaptable, so as a CEIRP fellow I'd be comfortable with pursuing activities on just about any topic.
