My
research in the Department of Natural Resources at Cornell
focuses on local indigenous knowledge and decision-making
in land-use and natural resource management. I'm most interested
in introducing students to comparative cost-benefit analyses
of industrial agriculture and "traditional" agriculture.
Through
such analyses students can explore the social and ecological
ramifications of environmental choices they make every day.
Students can also explore inquiry-based methods for assessing
the environmental impacts on soil and water from everyday
decisions in our society.
